Boy, we hit the ground running when we got back to our home base! My flowerbeds slightly resembled a jungle. 😂 I got them all trimmed up, weeded, and mulched this week. Paul got the flag up, doorbell repaired, and several random cables neatened up in the living room. We got a new table/chair set off of FB Marketplace set up on our enclosed porch. Love it! I made a fun plant holder out of a cool piece of driftwood I found. Love how it turned out! Yesterday, today, and tomorrow morning we are helping Tyler’s Boy Scout Troop clean up after the local rodeo…lots of early mornings and so much trash! 😂 We are absolutely enjoying this gorgeous weather though! I sure do love me a stripey lawn! We’ve been settling back in to our home base this week, doing a few projects, taming the jungle that my flowerbeds had become, and getting the RV cleaned up and ready to go for the next time. Feels good to be home. We’ll be staying close for the next month or so. Our oldest is coming to visit for a week. Tyler has camps. Emily is back to work. And basically, we love Bellevue this time of year! It will be interesting to do summer here in our house instead of the RV. ❤️ ❤️Home Sweet Home❤️ What a day! The truck still has issues, but we limped home. We know what the problem is. It will be much easier to fix at home with the right tools and without having to worry about the rig. Thank you to those who prayed for us today! We felt every prayer. ❤️ Today’s adventure…🙄 Some adventures are more fun than others. This trip has definitely reminded me of the good times AND the frustrating times of RV Life. When we arrived at our overnight stop last night, our water pump on the RV had stopped working and was leaking everywhere. We took it apart, lost a spring to it, took a chill pill, found the spring, and put it all back together. 😂 It works for now, but definitely needs to be replaced. We rolled out this morning, and about 2 miles down the highway, Paul noticed Tyler’s window was flapping open. Thankfully, we were able to pull over and fix it before it was damaged or anything fell out. It looked closed from the outside, but wasn’t latched inside. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Then, our fuel filter on the truck decided it was done, so here we are. The old girl is beginning to get a little rebellious. Can’t really blame her! We’ve asked a lot of her for a really long time. Thankful we were close enough to limp to a truck stop and close enough to an auto parts store to get a replacement. Also thankful for my handy guys! Filter is changed, putting it all back together, and praying we make it home without anymore excitement today! 😂 There was a day when this stuff would’ve completely unhinged us. Now, it’s just part of it….and definitely a consideration if you are planning to Fulltime RV. There is ALWAYS something! ALWAYS! Just me, a cool evening, a warm campfire, the trees, and my thoughts…thinking back over the past weeks, months, years… Today’s adventure consisted of roaming around @oswalds_bear_ranch and taking a family picture with an adorable bear cub! What a neat stop! We made it through the entire place before the rain started falling. We didn’t make it to all the places we wanted to see in the area in the two weeks we were here, but that just gives us an excuse to come back up to the beautiful U.P.! Hoping the rain eases up so we can enjoy one last campfire here this evening. Then, we’ll start our journey back to our home base tomorrow. What an awesome month of adventures! Just what we needed! I have no idea how I’m supposed to sum up a boat tour of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in 10 little squares, but here is my best attempt. We went on the sunset tour, and though it was freezing, it did not disappoint! Absolutely stunning place! Wowsers…one of the coolest places we’ve ever been! Today was this cutie’s 8th Birthday! Emily made her some banana peanut butter “woofles” for breakfast. She kept asking for more all day. 😂 We sure do love our sweet Tipper! She’s a little quirky…just like the rest of us. 😂 When you are staying in Christmas, Michigan, Santa is always watching! Just trying to stay on the nice list around here! 😇 You can find me on the corner of Candy Cane Lane and Tinsel Dr. 🤣 The weather was pretty crappy today, so no big sightseeing….just work, refilled the propane, and got some groceries. Now, we’re just doing a little campfire sitting. 🔥 It’s currently 45° F, which is just bonkers! 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
