We did something we have been wanting to do for a really long time….we started up our very own Podcast, “Beautiful View”! We have had the “Our Moving House” blog for the duration of our RV adventures up until we transitioned back into a house in Bellevue, IA. The blog initially started out as a way to share our adventures with family and close friends, but it ended up being a little bigger than that as we continued to meet people along the way. It has been a fun way to share our journey!
We talked about creating a Podcast back when we were on the road, but we kept putting it off. We produce podcasts for several clients on a weekly basis, so what was stopping us from trying it ourselves? No idea. It was a lot of fun!
On one of our morning walks, Paul and I had a little brainstorming session about what “our podcast” might look like. I came home and put out a post on Facebook trying to see if there would be any interest if we started up a podcast. There seemed to be a positive response, so we jumped to action. We came up with a name for it, I made a graphic for it, and wrote some talking points for the first episode. Then, we recorded it, Paul edited it, and published it out to all the major podcasting platforms. We had so much fun with it and we have received so much positive feedback! Our plan is to release four pilot episodes to start with and to release them two weeks apart. The response to the initial four episodes will be the deciding factor on how we proceed. I have to say, I’m feeling pretty optimistic at this point! We have such supportive and encouraging people in our lives. We are excited to release the next episode!
The purpose of this podcast is to have a platform to continue to share our story, things we’ve learned about life, about RV life, about transitioning back to a house, being a part of a community, also, to make you laugh a little, and to encourage.
If you haven’t given it a listen yet, we would like to invite you to check it out. This first episode is about 25ish minutes long and is an introduction to us, where we share a super condensed version of how we met, a couple of funny stories, and our vision for future episodes.
