You know what they say: "The days are long, but the years are short." How in the world are we already to the end of another year? It's just crazy! We kicked off 2023 with a trip home to Texas to see family since it had been over a year since we had been home.... Continue Reading →
“This little light of mine…I’m gonna let it shine…let it shine…let it shine.” You may remember this little song from Sunday School when you were a kid…and now, thanks to me, it’s going to be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. 😂 You’re welcome! I’ll tell you why I’m singing that in... Continue Reading →
We quit church…that seems like a big statement. For those who know us well, it is probably a very startling statement. Let me assure you that we still love Jesus, actually more now than ever, and I ask that you hear me out. For those of you who follow us and don’t know us very... Continue Reading →
Reading the entire Bible is like flying over a city in an airplane. You get an overview. You can see the outline. You can see how it’s laid out. Sometimes a landmark stands out. You see how certain things are laid out compared to others. Some views are different than you expected. Some structures are more prominent than others. It is very special. Sometimes it’s hard to get oriented from above, but you know that eventually when the plane lands, you can walk the streets to see more detail. You can spend a day visiting a landmark, understanding its purpose and context. When walking the streets, you can focus on people, on stories, and the details of each individual piece of the puzzle that you previously only had an overview of.

Hello...Candy here. Just a little update on how we're doing... It has been 6 weeks since we arrived in Iowa. Where did that go? We had planned on spending about 10 days then moving on to the next place. Well, the first night we were here, I fell and fractured my left foot. That will... Continue Reading →
“…the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the man who hears the word, and the worry of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful” - Matthew 13:22 (NASB). In the little chapel, by the sea, God’s family gathered and simply worshiped. It was... Continue Reading →
This is a blog that has been waiting to happen. Yup - it's me. Paul. There have been times where it has seemed like I should blog about our internet equipment, or about the truck. Sometimes we get questions about our rig that only I can answer, and my wife asks me how to word... Continue Reading →
We finally escaped Texas! We were beginning to think it wasn't going to happen for us this summer... Y'all, we seriously got out just in time. This has been a brutally hot summer in much of the country, but as we sit in a gorgeous campsite in Iowa, with our windows and doors open and... Continue Reading →
